As 2018 is drawing to a close, we take a look back at the Top 5 product updates that have been implemented for online training in our authoring and LMS all-in-one platform this year.
This is a big one! In 2018 the product team hooked us up to Zapier. Zapier lets you connect and sync data between different apps to automate time-consuming tasks. When something happens in one app, it can automatically trigger an action in another app.
With over 1000 apps to connect with, you can use Coassemble and Zapier together to automatically enrol participants to courses, sign new enrolments up to a mailing list, generate certificates on course completion, or sign participants up to a webinar when enrolled into a new course. We had to group these bad boys together, as they are all too good to be left out.
The Checklist Template can be used by authors’ as a summary of content that has preceded it. It could also be used as a checklist of possible items you’d need to pack on a business trip, or ingredients for a recipe, Santa could even use it to check who’s been naughty or nice!
The Document Upload template is a super versatile lesson template that has many uses. It can be used as a way for learners to upload completed surveys, assignments, or evidence that they’ve completed an offline task. You can choose to provide a file for your learners to download, or have them upload their own. Easy!
This template is excellent to help participants learn at a deeper level. Branching Scenarios make online learning more fun and engaging by presenting a scenario that challenges learners to make a decision. Once a decision is made, the learner is presented with a consequence – which in turn provides more challenges and choices. With each decision made, the story unfolds in an unpredictable way until the learner finally reaches an outcome which could be one of many. Branching scenarios provide many benefits to learners, real all about it here.
The Dial challenge is a simple challenge that asks the learner to choose a value between 2 numbers. The learner can drag the dial with their mouse or finger (on a touch screen device) to select a value. Once the learner is happy they’ve got the correct value, they click the ‘Check Answer’ button.
The Labelling Challenge is perfect for testing the knowledge of your participants on any number of subjects. The learner is presented with an image and asked to drag the labels provided to the correct positions.
In 2018 Coassemble introduced a new WYSIWYG text editor and not only is it beautiful, it’s packed full of features you’re sure to love. Find out why it rocks here!
We rolled out LTI functionality publicly for available plan types. You can use LTI to add content to your existing LMS, such as Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard to name a few. Now great content can go anywhere!
With the introduction of quick enroll, you can quickly add new enrollments by typing straight under your list of facilitators and participants, making it quicker and easier than ever to enrol members into your courses.
