Secret Features To Make Your Online Training Course Shine

1. Pick a course template and save time

Did you know we have a library full of different course templates you can drop your content into? You might remember seeing a few templates in our Course Template library before, but now you'll find over 20 templates to choose from.

Our design expert Eliza is building out new course templates every week, so make sure you pop by and check out the new templates when you next log in.

Currently, you can find various course templates to help you get started, including:

• Onboarding checklist template
• Go-to-market strategy template
• Employee handbook template
• Diversity training template
• Sexual harassment training template
• Sales playbook template
• Brand strategy template
• Recruitment template

Find all of these course templates and more when you click on the Create A Course button on your main dashboard, which will allow you to click on Use A Template.

2. Switch screens easily

Our sales guru Bobby said his favorite secret feature is to switch screens easily without having to recreate any. He said:

And he's right. There's now a drop-down arrow to switch between screens. Many of our customers tend to use the Standard Screens, which allow you to use the following:

• Text and image
• Video
• Slideshow
• Document
• Embed
• Pop quiz

If you jump into our Interactive Screens, this is where you'll find some of the fun features to really make your content shine. In the interactive screens section, you'll be able to switch screens easily.

Tip – be mindful when choosing your screens as you'll only be able to switch screens that are either image-based with each other, and vice-vera.

3. Advanced screen settings

Did you know items can be reordered from the advanced screen settings? That’s right. There are plenty of ways you can make your screen even more special. For example, we’ve noticed a lot of people are using the Springy List, but did you know you can use a background image too which is located in the advanced screen settings as well?

4. Document upload screen will blow your mind!

While most customers are familiar with the document screen, the document upload screen is a bit of a hidden feature many of our customers don’t know about.

Our designer Eliza said:

Similar to the Assignments screen, you can add a file in and ask your employees to fill it out and upload it back into the platform so you can view it in the reports section. You can also ask your employees to upload a file too!

5. New text editor to save your brand colors

Did you know you can save your brand colors or your commonly used colors easily now? Our Senior Front End Engineering Manager, Jon told us it's one of his favorite hidden features to use when creating your online training course!

6. Make your course fun with the GIPHY integration

Learning Designer Eliza loves using GIFs while building our Course Templates because:

Love GIFs but don't have time to trawl the internet to find one that represents your content? No problem! You can now search for your favorite GIFs AND emojis in our search bar. Let's not forget you can search for quality images from Unsplash if you need to find some good visual content to bring your course to life.

7. Be extra with the pop quiz feedback!

At Coassemble, we all love the pop quiz feature because this gaming element will bring your online training courses to life. It will also engage with your employees when you need to make sure they understand the training.

You’ll be able to check how your employees performed in the pop quiz by seeing how long it took them to answer the questions correctly in our reports. Now, you might already know this about the pop quiz feature, but did you know you can customize the feedback on the quiz too? Click on Advanced Questions settings, and you’ll be able to customize feedback to help people understand why their answer is right or wrong.
