Live emojis aren’t the only smiles we’ve made since summer started! Two new offices, a ton of awards, and some big changes to the platform have made the last few months a blast for our team. Check out our latest culture and company post, live on the blog!
September 11, 2020
Wow, we can’t believe it’s already September! We had such a crazy summer between setting up two new offices, improving our platform experience, receiving several awards from G2 and eLearning Industry, not to mention our head of operations has been invited to attend the Denver Global Landing Pad program.
At Coassemble, we believe in having as much fun as we help our customers have. So every quarter we’ll do a roundup to share some of the exciting updates
This a business acceleration program that provides resources for companies interested in expanding their operations in Denver. Members include experts in thought leadership, strategy, business climate, operations, regulatory, legal, & financial frameworks.
In total, fifteen organizations are participating in the program with members coming from eight countries. Some of the topics discussed so far include:
How Denver is more cost-effective for businesses as a base of operations.
Denver’s global impact as a city and tech hub.
The talent pool the Denver Metro area offers.
Trade opportunities in the US through Denver.
Denver’s international airport (16th largest in the world) and the benefits of having it.
New platform features
Though you can click here for the full product updates list, we wanted to share some of our proudest changes we’ve made over the summer.
💥 Improved modules tab
We’ve made a major improvement to the modules tab, allowing you to see the outlines for lessons and quizzes. You can also go directly to the edit page for any lesson screen or quiz question.
We’ve also added a fresh coat of paint and made it easier than ever for new users to grasp the concept of modules in Coassemble.
🎉 New animated Lesson feedback pop-ups
We’ve updated all of the default feedback pop-up images in Coassemble with shiny new animated emojis!!
🚀 Performance improvements
We released a major performance update this month meaning your workspace will be running at least 2x the speed it was in July. We know we have a lot more to do in this space, and we’re working hard at it. Look forward to more improvements coming in September!
🏠 Changes to the home screen
Several changes were made to the home screen to make it more intuitive and performant for all of our users. These changes included:
New and improved UI to make it easier for you to access courses
The removal of lessons and quizzes from the home screen
The removal of the activity log
🧭 Course overview sidebar navigation
Out with the old, and in with the new!
This major UI update improves the way the course overview and sidebar navigation appear for your learners
🗓 See the last updated date on course cards
We’ve appended the last updated date to the course avatar tooltip so that you can now see when the last update to your course was made.
🔗 Enrollment links expiry options
By default, enrollment links never expire (unless you delete them). This update allows you to have your enrollment links expire on a set date, or after a set number of learners have been enrolled via the link.
📊 Updates to reports
We made UI improvements to the following reports:
Lessons > Lesson report
Quizzes > quiz report
Courses > course > group > learner > quiz report
Share Link Usage report
SCORM usage report
And best of all? Unlocked Learning will be launching the full update soon! To follow along for updates and when we’ll be releasing it, head over to the product page.
We placed for several awards on G2’s summer 2020 tech reports! We’re so honored to be recognized by the G2 community and thankful for their continued support! Being a part of the SaaS world during such a crazy year has been a journey we’re glad to be pioneering.
eLearning Industry announced that we placed in the top 20 (of over 500!) online training platforms and LMS’s. We have to give a massive thank you to our customer support team for helping us stand out to customers as a principle guide for online training.
Denver, CO, USA Office
After carefully selecting from several major US cities, we’ve established our new stateside HQ in Denver Colorado! Right in the heart of Larimer Square, the office is in one of the oldest buildings in the city. Our team was excited to join the space, and shared some photos below! And with Little Owl Coffee three blocks away and tons of restaurants in Larimer Square, the team is excited by the food and beverage options they have.
Newcastle, NSW, AUS Office
Our Newcastle team has been loving the new digs, with the office located across from the harbor in Newcastle (a super convenient spot). The team is now split across two levels with, some fake grass (a Coassemble must), an epic boardroom (RIP the Pod), and an awesome Meeting Owl for our remote catch-ups. With frequent coffee stops at the best bakery in town—Uprising, it’s been great for the team to see each other in person again.
Check back in November when we’ll have our next recap!
