You might notice we use the word “embed” in a couple of different ways in Coassemble. While they sound similar, they do very different things—so here’s a quick guide to help clear things up.

Embed screen

When you’re building a course, you can use the Embed screen to display third-party content—like a form, map, or interactive tool—inside your course. This is done by pasting a hyperlink into the screen.

🧠 Think of this as: “I want to embed something from another website into my course.”

Not all websites allow this (some block embedding), and some tools require you to adjust sharing settings for it to work.

Embedding your course somewhere else

You can also embed your Coassemble course on your website or platform when you choose to share a link to your course. This will give you the option to get an embed code, which will embed your course.

🧠 Think of this as: “I want to share my course on my website or landing page.”

It’s perfect for promoting your course externally and making it easy for learners to access it from wherever you already connect with them.

To summarize:

  • Embed screen = Bring content into your course

  • Embed code for your course = Share your course outside Coassemble.
