We’re excited to introduce our latest integration: Slack + Coassemble — a simple, powerful way to share learning content directly in the flow of work.
No more clunky LMS. No more switching platforms. Just seamless course sharing, right where your team is already communicating.
With this integration, you can connect your Slack workspace to Coassemble, making it easier than ever to deliver training, onboarding, or knowledge updates. Whether you’re rolling out a new process, sharing product knowledge, or onboarding new hires, you can send courses straight to Slack in just a few clicks.
Why it matters
No LMS required – Traditional Learning Management Systems are outdated, complex, and often overkill for fast-moving teams. With Coassemble and Slack, you can say goodbye to your LMS and still deliver powerful learning experiences.
Share instantly – Push a course to any Slack channel or DM in seconds. No email threads, no separate logins, no fuss.
Meet learners where they are – Keep learning in the flow of daily work. Your team never has to leave Slack to access the knowledge they need.
Get instant notifications – Know the moment someone starts or completes a course. Stay in the loop without digging through dashboards or reports.

How to connect Slack to your Coassemble workspace
Before you can share a course or collection to Slack, you will need to connect your Slack workspace to your Coassemble workspace. Follow the steps below to set up your connection:
Step 1: Open Settings.
In Coassemble, select Settings from the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Access Connections.
Click 'Connections' in the Workspace menu.
Select 'Slack', then click 'Connect'. You will now be taken directly to Slack to sign in to your workspace.
Follow the prompts to connect your Slack workspace and sign into Slack. You will receive an authentication code from Slack to set up the connection.
Step 3: Allow permission for Coassemble to access your Slack workspace.
Once you have allowed permission by selecting "Allow", your Coassemble workspace will be connected to your Slack workspace.
Step 4: Decide who can use this connection.
If you have multiple creators in your Coassemble workspace, decide whether the Slack connection is available to just you, or to all creators.
You can disable or remove the connection at any time via Settings > Connections.
Sharing courses & collections
Courses and collections can both be shared via Slack.
Courses: Tag an individual or post into a channel. Recipients receive both an email and a Slack message with a direct course link.
Collections: Share entire collections the same way. They appear in a learner’s To-Do list inside Slack.
Step 1: Select 'Share'
From a course, click the Share button (inside the course or under the course card on the dashboard).
From a collection, click Share (inside the collection or via the three-dot menu on the Collections page).
Step 2: Invite Slack members or channels.
In the box underneath 'Invite people', you can @mention Slack members or #channels. You'll see a dropdown list of users or channels that match your search, and you can then select who/where you would like to share the course.
Step 3: Write an accompanying message for your course/collection.
Write an optional message to accompany your course or collection.
Click Send invitation.
How learners access courses
Learners receive a Slack notification with an Access course button.
This generates a secure, one-time authentication link (no login required).
If a link expires, they can regenerate a new one instantly.
Completed courses are marked in their Slack To-Do list, which learners can revisit anytime.
Notifications in Slack
Learners and admins can stay on top of progress with real-time updates:
Course started – see when training kicks off
Course completed – track completions as they happen
View insights – jump straight to Coassemble to see analytics.
How do I navigate to the app in Slack?
In Slack, look under Apps (left-hand sidebar).
Select Coassemble to view all notifications and updates.
