Security and compliance

SOC 2

Coassemble holds SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 reports. Type 2 is the more rigorous of the two, because it verifies that controls operate effectively over time rather than at a single point.

SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls 2) is an independent audit against criteria from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), covering security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.

Accessibility

Courses are built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The Classic learner experience has an independent Statement of Conformance from Modality Co. The new builder's learner experience is built to the same standard, applying everything learned from that audit, and independent verification of it is being arranged.

Data residency

Data is stored and processed on US infrastructure by default. Region-locked servers in the EU, US or APAC are available on the Partner plan for teams with data residency requirements, as are dedicated servers and self-hosting.
