Admin role
The workspace role for the people who help the owner run a Coassemble workspace, and the three things it leaves with the owner.
How do I let someone else manage my workspace without making them the owner?
Give them the Admin role. An admin can do everything the owner can except manage billing, delete the workspace and transfer ownership. They can invite and remove members, change roles, manage workspace settings and connections, build courses and use the Developer area.
To invite a new admin, open Settings, select Members, click Invite member, and choose Admin under Role before you send the invite. To give the role to someone already in your workspace, select the three dots next to them in Members and change their role to Admin.
What can an admin do?
- Manage members. Invite people, resend invitations, change roles and remove members. An admin can also make another member an admin.
- Manage workspace settings. Look after the workspace's settings, allowed domains, and connections and integrations.
- Build courses. Create, edit and share courses and view course insights, the same as a creator.
- Use the Developer area. Manage API keys and webhooks and use the developer console, the same as a developer.
What can only the owner do?
- Manage the plan and billing.
- Delete the workspace.
- Transfer ownership.
An admin also can't remove the owner or change the owner's role. If an admin tries any of these, Coassemble tells them it's something only the owner can do.

Frequently asked questions
How many admins can a workspace have?
As many as you need. There's still only one owner.
Why would I add an admin?
So your workspace keeps running when the owner isn't around. If the owner is on leave or leaves the company, an admin can still invite new people, remove someone who has left, and look after settings and connections. An admin can also appoint another admin, so the role can be handed on.
Can an admin make someone else the owner?
No. Only the current owner can transfer ownership.
What happens to my access if I'm the owner and I add an admin?
Nothing changes for you. The owner keeps everything they could do before.
