Themes
Themes set a course's colours, fonts, and logo. Apply a ready-made preset from the course editor, or use a custom theme from your Brand kit.
A theme controls the visual style of a course: its colours, fonts, and logo. You can apply a ready-made preset theme in a couple of clicks from the course editor, or use a custom theme created in your Brand kit so every course matches your organisation's branding.
Apply a preset theme
- Open the course you want to style.
- In the top-right of the course editor, click the Design icon (the palette of swatches).
- Scroll to browse the Preset themes.
- Click a preset to apply it instantly and preview how the course looks.
- Publish your changes when you're happy, so learners see the updated design.
Custom themes
Custom themes are built in the Brand kit and then appear alongside the presets in the Design panel. To access Brand kit, select Brand kit from your courses dashboard. You can also click the Design icon (the palette of swatches) from within a course, which you'll find at the top of your screen. Creating and configuring custom themes is covered in the Brand kit article.
Frequently asked questions
What can a theme control?
A theme sets your course's colours, fonts, and logo, so the whole course has a consistent look.
Do I have to theme every screen by hand?
No. Applying a theme restyles the whole course at once, so you get a consistent look without editing each screen.
Where do custom themes come from?
You create them in your Brand kit. Once saved, they appear in the course editor's Design panel alongside the preset themes.
