The Finish screen

What the Finish screen does at the end of a Coassemble course, and what you can change on it in each builder.

The Finish screen is the last screen of every course. It marks the course as complete, celebrates the learner getting there, and asks them how they found it. Every course has one and it can't be removed.

In the new builder

The Finish screen closes the course with a completion message and a short feedback question, so learners tell you how they found it as they finish. That sentiment comes back to you in Insights alongside views and completion.

In the Classic builder

Classic courses give you a set of layout and display options on the Finish screen.

Layout options

  • Text alignment, adjust the text alignment so that it is Text right, Text left, or Text centred.
  • Background colour, override the theme settings and change the background colour.

Display options

You can toggle the following options ON or OFF:

  • Title: change this text as you would on any other screen.
  • Description: change the text that appears in the description. You might like to summarise what the learner has gained from your course, or ask a simple question to understand audience sentiment.
  • Feedback: if you do not want the feedback emojis to appear, you can switch this off in Display options.
  • Pattern: this refers to the gradient overlay that appears in the background of your Finish screen. You can toggle this off if you would like it to be a solid colour or image.
  • Confetti: if you'd like to take celebrating learner success to the next level, you can opt to throw some confetti on the Finish screen. This is set to ON by default, but you can also toggle this experience OFF.
  • Image alignment: change the image alignment (if you opt to include one). You can also choose 'Image behind' for an image as the background. If you opt to do this, you can adjust the overlay opacity to ensure that the text remains easily readable for your learners.

Common questions

How do I remove the Finish screen from a course?

You can't. Every course ends with one. In a Classic course you can hide the options that distinguish it from other screens, like Feedback, Pattern and Confetti.

Where does the feedback learners leave go?

Into your course reporting. Sentiment appears in Insights for the course, alongside views, completion and drop-off.
