Brand kit

The one place to manage your brand across courses: logos, themes, your asset library and brand voice.

The Brand kit is a central place to define and save your visual identity, so your colours, fonts and logos stay consistent across every course. To open it, select Brand kit from your courses dashboard, or click the Design icon (the palette of swatches) at the top of the screen within a course.

What's in the Brand kit

Four sections, listed down the left:

  • Logos: upload and save multiple variants so you have the right one for any layout.
  • Themes: define your colours, fonts and logo, and save them to apply to any course. Custom fonts are uploaded here, while you're setting a theme's fonts.
  • Asset library: your images and videos in one place.
  • Brand voice: set the tone and style for content written with AI.

Manage logos

Upload your logo variants (such as Primary, Secondary and Icon) so the right version is always to hand. The Brand kit supports SVG, PNG and JPG.

Create a theme

A theme sets a course's colours, fonts and logo. To build one:

  1. In the Themes tab of the Brand kit, click Create theme.
  2. Name your theme.
  3. Set the colours: Accent, Background, Headings and Gradient.
  4. Toggle Emphasize Start and Finish screens if you want those screens to have a distinct look.
  5. Choose fonts for Headings and labels, and for Body. Pick from the Google Fonts list, or upload your own font files.
  6. Set the logo: toggle Display logo on, choose which logo to use, and use the Bounding box option if you need a white box behind it for contrast.
  7. Click Save changes.

Once saved, your theme appears in the course builder's Design panel alongside the presets, ready to apply to any course.

The asset library

Your asset library holds both images and videos, so media you've used once is there the next time you need it rather than being re-uploaded.

  • Upload files adds media directly, without going through a course first. Handy when you want your library stocked before you start building.
  • All, Images and Video filter what you're looking at, and there's a search box for finding something by name.
  • Grid or list view switch how the library is laid out.

Anything in here is available from inside a course. When you add an image or video block, the Library tab of the picker is this same library.

Fonts outside your theme

A theme sets the fonts a course uses by default, and for most courses that's the whole story. In the new builder you can also set a font on a single heading or paragraph from its own toolbar, choosing from outside the theme's set, with weights in their own menu and a one-click reset back to the theme font.

So a font you've uploaded is available in two places: as a theme font applied across a course, and as a one-off choice on an individual block. Use the theme for consistency, and the block-level option for the occasional heading that needs to stand apart.

Frequently asked questions

How do I open the Brand kit?

Select Brand kit from your courses dashboard, or click the Design icon (the palette of swatches) at the top of the screen inside a course.

What logo formats can I upload?

SVG, PNG and JPG.

What font formats can I upload?

WOFF, WOFF2, TTF and OTF.

Can I upload videos to the asset library?

Yes. Select Upload files in the Asset library and add them directly, then filter by Video to see just those. You don't have to add a video to a course first for it to live in your library.

Can I control how AI writes my courses?

Yes. The Brand voice settings let you set tone, personality and writing style for AI-generated content, including preferred and avoided vocabulary and an image generation style.

Do custom fonts only work inside a theme?

No. A theme is the usual way to apply one, because it covers a whole course, but in the new builder any heading or paragraph block can take a font outside the theme set and reset back to it.
