Coassemble as an LMS

The three ways Coassemble covers LMS work, and what it deliberately doesn't do.

Yes, in three different ways. Coassemble can act as a lightweight LMS, tracking who completes your courses and how they do on quizzes. It works alongside an existing LMS through SCORM in both directions. And you can build it into your own product with embeddable components. What it isn't is a full traditional LMS with advanced administration and compliance workflows out of the box.

As a lightweight LMS

If your main need is to deliver training and see how people go, Coassemble covers the essentials. Share a course by link, email or Slack, ask people to identify themselves with their email address so you can see who completed what, and track completions, quiz results, course views and sentiment. For many teams that's all the LMS they need.

Courses themselves are built in the new builder, where content sits in blocks you arrange on a grid, screens start from a layout, and screens group into sections. A scored quiz is its own section with its own settings for passing grade and retries, which is what makes completion mean something you can report on.

Alongside your existing LMS

Already have an LMS? Build your courses in Coassemble and export them as SCORM packages to run in your system, so you get fast, interactive authoring with the LMS you already use for delivery and compliance.

SCORM also works the other way. You can bring an existing SCORM package into Coassemble and host it there, where it sits in your library alongside your authored courses and is tracked by attempt, including time spent, success, score and question-level results you can download as a CSV. If the content needs to change rather than just run, you can convert the package into a fully editable Coassemble course instead.

Build your own

If you want training inside your own product or platform, you can compose the embeddable components into a complete learning experience under your own brand: the course player, collections, analytics dashboards, and screen-level embeddables for putting a single screen or a standalone quiz inside your application. You can also connect an AI assistant to Coassemble through the MCP server, so courses get built and updated from wherever your team already works.

What Coassemble isn't

Coassemble isn't a full traditional LMS. It doesn't include advanced administrative features, complex user management, or built-in compliance and certification workflows. It's a knowledge transfer platform focused on fast course creation, flexible delivery and essential tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track individual learners?

Yes. When people are identified, you can see who completed a course and how they did on quizzes, not just aggregate numbers.

Does Coassemble replace my LMS?

It can, if your needs are lightweight. If you have an established LMS, Coassemble complements it through SCORM rather than replacing it: export your courses to run in your LMS, or host your existing SCORM packages in Coassemble. You can also build your own bespoke LMS powered by Coassemble.

Can I build training into my own product?

Yes. Embeddable components let you build Coassemble's authoring, delivery and analytics into your own product or LMS.

Does the AI agent help with any of this?

Yes. The in-builder agent has three modes: Chat builds and changes courses when you ask, Review checks a course for issues before you publish, and Insights reads your course analytics and tells you what's happening in them.
